Hi I'm Susie,
I first started making my own handmade cards a few years ago, simply
as a hobby. But through time I began to make greeting cards and give them
to my family and friends.
When my family and friends saw the cards I was making, they were really impressed.
They started to ask me to make cards for them so they could give my cards
to their family friends. With doing that it gave me the confidence and the
enthusiasm
to make more handcrafted cards
and eventually to try to sell them.
I started selling my cards in a local gift shop. I was very surprised as
my cards sold well. I decided then to try and build up a large collection
of cards, which covered many different occasions. This would hopefully help
me sell even more cards.
So as I built up my stock this enabled me to start selling my cards at local
events. I really enjoy doing events as it gives me a chance to meet and talk
to people who like and buy my handmade cards. Unfortunatley meeting and talking
to customers is something you can't do over the internet.
Now that I have my own web site, I'm lucky enough to say it's doing really
well. I have alot of returning customers, which i'm very pleased and grateful
for. But I also get a large number of new customers, who I hope
will also become regulars.
